T56 Flywheel for 2 piece RMS

T56 Flywheel for 2 piece RMS
What, exactly, is the reason an LT1 flywheel won't bolt up to the older cranks. I work at a very large machine shop and am planning to swap in a T56 with a 2 piece rear main seal block. Can I put new holes in the flywheel to make it work or are there other differences? Has anyone done this?

Well almost anything is possible, some things just aren't very practical. Set the 2 kinds of flywheels nest to each other and I'm sure you'll see immediately that it's not a trivial matter.
Centerforce makes one, I know of no others.
