T-5 Question
T-5 Question
My car is a 90 Formula 305 TPI 5 speed. I have a question about the tranny. If I start it up when it is cold and punch it right away it grinds almost every time going into third if I try to powershift it. After I drive for awile and the car is warmed up it doesn't seem to do it at all. Can anyone help me out? Is this just me? Thanks.

Yeah, don't power shift it when it's cold!

I'm trying to save mine for my 350 build up, I don't power shift at all. Less fun, but more fun than letting an automatic think for you.

Beating on your engine with cold oil and your tranny with cold fluid is about the most harmful thing you can do to your car.
Don't abuse a cold car. It's just asking for trouble

Very true Hawk. I don't make a habit of hammering my car when it's cold. Just sometimes you get in a hurry. I've only done it 2 or 3 times but it happened every time so I was just wondering. Thanks guys.
