OD in city driving?

My last car had a really weak OD gear, so I never used it when I was in the city driving (60-80 KM/H...36-48 MPH I think). I had OD die once, so I just stopped using it

With the 700R4 (I'm pretty sure that's what I have) should I use OD in my city driving? My driving isn't really rush hour/stop-n-go, since I'm in a small city...

Just leave it in OD, in Edmonton traffic your speed won't often get up high enough to even shift into 4th.

The only benefit is that you will help the sprag out a little by keeping it from going in and out of O/D but since you are not really talking about allot of torque it won't really matter. If you have a high mileage car that has the original srag it would be a good idea though to keep it out of O/D until you need it and to manually downshift to D3 instead if a KD to keep the load off of this weak point in the 700.
