Need info ASAP with auto to t-5 swap!

i have a 87 iroc 350 tpi

im takeing the 700r4 out of it and putting a t-5 in.

all parts are coming off a 87 firebird 305 carb

what im needing to know is their are 2 different part numbers for flywheels. one for carb and one for fuel injection.

But diameter and teeth number is identical.

will the carb flywheel off the bird fit on my fuel ijection car?

the crank part #'s are both the same for carb and fuel injection, so the crank is the same.

and the clutch kit is the same part number for fuel injection and carb.

even the rear main seal is both same part number and 1 peice.

what gives?

is their something im missing here.

Thanks

so long as you get a flywheel that has the same rear main seal design as your crank, that you will be fine. The is no difference between a carb flywheel and a fuel injected flywheel that i know of. Maybe weight? are their any specs of the wheels you are looking at that you can compare?

There are two flywheels, a light-weight version (around 16 pounds) which was installed in higher performance cars, like the L69, and a heaver version (around 25 pounds IIRC) for crappers, like the LG4.
