We have to know what you're using the car for... 1/4 mile?

Re: Which Gear? Which Carrier

The Lock Right is the best. The No-Slip has a bad reputation for failure. What gears do you have now and what do you want to do with the car. If this will be a street car then I recommend getting a new Eaton posi and the 3.42 gears. You will be MUCH happier with this. The Lock Right is good for an easy installation if the gears are not being changed. When changing gears then it is just as easy to install the Eaton. If you have a 3.08, 2.73, 2.56 or 2.41 gear then you will have to get a 3 series differential case or get the thick gear set. A new Eaton is $435 plus shipping.

i already read the FAQ, thats why i posted... and not sure which gear set i have, i haven't pulled the cover off.

The Car is going to be a street/strip car.

why would the eaton posi be better than the lock-right?

The Eaton is much smoother on the street and it's a little stronger.
