Help identifying 3rd gen 4 speed manual

Hi Folks... I havent been here in a while, but just purchased a 1982 Z28. motor is the stock 305, less A.I.R. Pump and components... 4 speed manual trans and it has a Dana 44 Axle wih 3.92 gears and posi.

Not bad looking for a 27 year old Camaro.... but,

My question is: What kind of trans is this?

Re: Help identifying 3rd gen 4 speed manual

My '82 z28 came with a borg warner "super T-10"
my car had the LG4 carbed 305,I've heard a few '82
z28s with the LU5 crossfire engine also got the t-10
later in the '82 model year, with the LU5 version having
a different 1st gear ratio.
I have never seen a 4spd lu5,but heard about 1200 were
made.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

The Super T-10... Aluminum Case?

Neve mind... I answered my own question....

Supposedly these cars had a 3.42 first gear... and a 2.73 rear gear.

Aluminum Housing - T10 - good
Cast Iron Housing - Saginaw - not so much
