Rear end help
I want to put 3.73 gears in my car. Its a 10 bolt. If the rear gear size is a 7.5 or 7.75. Its a IROC-Z and 1987 that was org 5.0 tpi converted to 5.7.

The 7.5 is the GM 10 bolt and the 7.75 is the 9 bolt Borg Warner. You could have either one. Check the number of bolts in the cover. If it's the 10 bolt then you can get a 3.73. If it's the 9 bolt then you can get a 3.70. Either way you might need to replace the differential too. If you have the 9 bolt with 2.77 gears then you will need a 3 series differential. If you have the 10 bolt with 3.08 to 2.41 gears then you will also need a 3 series differential.
