is there any way to tell if the lockup is working??I HAVE A 85 Z28 305 TPI WITH A 700R4 TRANNY. THANKS

 

I believe someone said drive along and get into OD, slightly apply the brakes and the rpm's should raise a bit. I am sure someone else can elaborate, but I figured I get you started.
