i have a turbo 400 in my 88 camaro. i just installed the mega shifter(i was having this problem before the shifter, i was hoping the linkage was bad), it has a dynamic converter on it. i can shift the car thru all the gears but it wont move. i jacked the rear of the car up and the tire will spin if i put it in drive. this transmission was working about 2 years ago and the only change is the converter. i dunno whats going on... i dunno if maybe it go put down to hard and broke something or if the converter or what. where do i start?

 

Check and recheck ur fluid level.

Did you put tranny fluid in the new converter before you installed it ?

 

yeah. if i remember correctly it took about a qaurt... its a 9 1/2 in so its pretty small.

 

Are you sure the converter seated correctly into the trans ?

 

yeah its all the way on there.. im wondering if the aftermarket dipstick i have for the trans is the wrong one. maybe its says its full because its for a different model tranny? im gonna try to add a quart and see if it makes any changes.
