my transmission gave up today ive lost 3rd and 1st slipps like hell

i have a re built 700r4 ready to go in its had all new clutches, but the end that the prop goes on i can only turn one way with g grips, is this right for a re built box, i hope its ok as gonna fit it at weekend, cost enough to have it re built as well
