New Tranny & Synthetic fluid

I just installed an Art Carr 700R4, and a Precision Industries Vigilante converter in my brother's Iroc. Is it alright to use synthetic fluid, or do you have to break it in with conventional Dextron III before going to synthetic? Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Also, has anyone had any bad experiences with the Vigilante converter? The mounting holes on the converter did not line up very well with the flexplate holes. We tried every mounting hole too. We ended up having to use the stock type bolts, not the ones supplied with the converter, and it was still difficult to get them in. The stock converter bolts up just fine. So instead of 5 minutes to bolt the converter up, it took about an hour. It wasn't too bad, though. We've learned along time ago that aftermarket parts always never work together, and to always be prepared to fabricate.

Synthetic oil will work fine right out of the bottle.
