well i have a 91 camaro with 3.23posi in it but i just blew my differential up. I dont have money to buy a new one so i was thinking of a used one from a junkyard. But what should I look for so i can get the right differential for it? I am also thinking of stepping up to like 3.42 or 3.73 gears what can i get these gears out of? My car has the 7 5/8 ringgear if that matters. Will a 7.5 fit in the same housing as it? I need help asap guys. I am missing my car and the stangs are laughing at me so i need to get it back on the road.

S-10's with four cylinders usually have 3.73's and 3.42's. El Caminos also have the 7.5 rear. I'm almost sure they all interchange with the 7.625.
