TCI Sat Nite Special Torqe Converter......

I have a 305 TPI with a Compucam 2032 3.73 rear and a 700R4 tranny.... my car seems to be a little sluggish till the cam kicks in at about 2000 rpm... will this torque converer that stalls at about 1600-1800 help my problem or should i go with a higher stall? Need a little more jump off the line.. can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!!

More !

I have a stock L98 with a B&M Holeshot 2400 and still want more. Your 305 has less bottom end and you will need more stall to get that 305 out of the hole.

If you want something that is going to give you results (just not more stall), then I would use the 9.5" A.C.T. torque converter or equivalent. It will give you about 2-4 tenths in the quarter mile, and still retain the lockup. Depending on what the duration of the camshaft is at .050 lift? and what type of driving you do, will pretty much determine what stall you will need or want? I would recommend about 2,500-2,700 with this 305 ci. motor if it is performance you are after! This will work out well with 3.73's, especially with a small motor as your's. If I can be of help, call me at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 11-7 PST or post it.
Glad Too Help!!!

vigilante is the best converter money can buy. it costs a little bit more but its damn worth it. ive seen it take 4 tenths of a second off a quarter mile time and turned a 2.10 60ft time into a 1.90
