swap a 700r4 for a trans from a 91-92 camaro
They are in fact basically the same, sometime between '87 and '92 they changed the name of the 700R4 to 4L60, same trans. However in '93 they changed to 4L60E, the E meaning it's shifted electronically and that trans is slightly different than earlier 700R4/4L60's.
So your tranmission swap should not be a problem at all.

The f-bodies got the 4L60E in 1994, not 93.
Yes you can swap transmissions, just re-use your stock speedo module from your trans. the 90-92 ones are 4000 pulses while yours is 2000 pulses.
