rearend kicks out

my iroc has 2.77 it is suppose to be pos. but i know i shouldn't be doin this but when i try and do a donut only one tire spins but when i do a burn both tires smoke . the car isn't workin good now but i was just wonderin if there was anything i could add in the rear end because iam pretty sure the clutches are worn out or somethin .

Your posi sounds normal to me- it's working correctly. See, if you're doing a donut, only one tire should spin. You can't have both tires spinning while you're turning; that's equivilant to a "spool"- and if that happened, you wouldn't turn too well! One tire is supposed to go along for the ride, while the other tire does the pushing. I believe the "inside" tire does the work, and the "outside" freewheels. That goes for any posi or locker, even an "open" rear.

But if you're heading straight, both tires should spin.
