2200/2500 Stall to much for signature??

I was told by a local trans mechanic that a 2200/2500 stall was to much for the items I had listed in my signature and the CompuCam 2032 cam I installed. Here are the cam specs, what do you guys think?

Duration @ .050 - 214/220
Lobe Seperation - 112

------------------
1989 Pontiac Formula L98 Ported Plenum, Edelbrock 6085 Heads, Edelbrock HI-FLO Intake, BBK 52MM TB, Edelbrock TES, FlowMaster 3" Exhaust, Dual Cats, 3.27 Gear, CompuCam 2032 Cam, 1.5 Rollers, Ed Wright FastChip, Accel Super Coil, MSD 8mm Wires, 2500 stall, servo and TransGO.

You should look at a 2500-2800 vigilante. I had a local tranny guy swear up and down that all IROCs came with a 2500 stall from the factory, he couldn't figure why I would waste my time going from stock to a 2700 vigilante !

I'd look into more stall if i where you. I'd say 2800 is a good number. Especially if you plan on keeping those 3.27s. A good stall will help get you out of the hole.
Remember that with a nice converter like P.I., Yank, Pro Torque, etc. they make converters with higher stalls that are still "tight". Allowing you to go more radical and still be very docile on the street. The cheaper models like TCI, B&M, SLP, offer the stall speeds but will be looser and not as streetable at high stall.
I myself just ordered a 3200 stall for my car. I thought it would be too high but with my 3.27 and that it's a Yank, i'll be fine. Plus it's what they recommended for my car, and they know better than me.

'88 RS (originally 2.8)
-350, .040 over, vette alum. L98s, stock tpi.
-305 injectors & chip
-TES headers & edelbrock cat back
-3.73 gears, 700r4.
Best with 2.8-17.4@77mph
Best with 305-15.0@93mph
Best with 356-13.7@101mph
on a 2.050 60 ft.
(Damn the 2.8!)

That sounds like it would work good and be a good compromise on the street. Just make sure that it is a QUALITY converter, such as Continental.
