Vibration
Hi Guys,
I have had a vibration in this car since I have owned it (1988 IROC-Z 350 Auto). I have tried new u-joints and checked about everything I could think off with no results so I just put up with it. I just last weekend tore apart the rear transmission mount while racing in town and replaced it with an Energy Suspension one so it don't pull apart if it tears again. It slammed the transmission pretty hard into the floor when it happened. Now I have a real bad vibration from about 65 all the way to 100 MPH and when I let up on the throttle it feels like the car is going to self destruct. I had the driveline checked for bending but they said it is ok. Any suggestions on what to do next? I have been told to go to an aluminum driveshaft but none of the salavage yards up here have any in thier inventory so any suggestions on that? I would appreciate any help you could give. Dennis
