Driveshaft, Computer and spedo?

Now that i converted my car to auto because I dealt with what I had, I came across a cheap t-5 setup. I found out V8 driveshafts are common from 82 to at least 98 from previous posts but I would like to know if this is true for V6.

I should have both but I only have the one from the auto (with new u-joints I might add). And I never seen them side to side.

How much if a problem would the auto ECM give me? I mean how would it affect drivability? I know theres an Idle problem but I don't have A/C if that matters. I'm thinking the thing will be giving more gas while the your engine braking. Not that works well under 750 rpms.

What exactly is it that I need to convert it to an electric spedo?. I havn't messed with tranny's too much other than remove/replace or change fluid. I want to price it out and knowing what it's called make's it all so much easier...

One last thing. I know these transmissions are geared different trough the years and was wondering if an '84 T5 has any advantages or dis's in terms of gearing.

I want to do this this week end and don't have alot time to research it. I gotta call the guy and say I want it soon.

Thanks
