what trans do I have?
I just bought an 84 camaro berlinetta and plan on yanking out the stock v6 engine (which is probably frozen, car sat for a year or so) and want to put a 350 in it from my uncle's 68 camaro. Anyway, I want to know what trans I have in the car now (it is stock) and will the engine mount to the trans or do I have to upgrade the tranny as well? Thanks a lot

You have a 700 but it won't bolt up. On the good side, if you have a tranny built, have them use the same VB and governor from the V-6 (it will have to be an early 700 core or this won't work) and you will retain your 5500 RPM WOT shift points!
