1st to 4th ughh i hate it HELP

i have a 83 transam with the stock turbo 350 transmission and i have heard of the 1st gear to 4 gear change when your just cruzin i hate this cuz when i step on it it is slow but if i just lunch from a stand still or like 5ph it shifts hard and runs tons faster is their anyway to get rid of the 1st to 4th crap its really a bummer on me

Put it in D rather than OD and when you want 4th gear shift it up to OD. That should solve it.

Well...uh...if you have a Turbo 350 it's not stock, and there are only 3 gears in there.

Maybe it's a TH700-R4, seems like GM switched to those in '83 or '84. If this is the case, check your Throttle Valve cable adjustment. There is a procedure in the Tech section on how to adjust it, very simple to do and has a lot to do with shift points.
