A guy at my local GM dealer offered me a GM reman torque converter from a 90 vett 4l60 with 300 mi on it .I was going to order the PN 24202310,is it the same stall and will it fit in my 86 700r4? I am looking for a cheep but good converter.

From what I know (limited) the shaft splines are dfferent. My 86 TA has a 90-91 reman tranny with a vette verter. I do like the setup, it flashes to 2200 rpm.

As long as it is the original tranny it should have the same 30 spline shaft.

I have a 30 spline input shaft on my 700r4.What I am wondering is there any way to tell the stall like a part no. or a letter code on the vett converter?
Thanks

early vettes stalled at 2400, this dropped to 2200 for the later years, but depending on your torque the stall will fluxuate a bit
