extention housing oil seal sealant

HI all, thanks to everyone who helped (or tried to help) with taking apart my t5. Good news, I figured it out. It turns out that there is nothing wrong with the tranny(that I can see at any rate) but a leaky oil seal. All the noise was probably coming from the release bearing. Next question, in the haynes manual it says to coat the outer diameter of the seal with sealant, what is the recomended sealant. Thanks again for any and all help. Schrammer.

If you are talking about the output shaft seal then I like to use Permatex Aviation Sealer. It is a brown brush on sealer that will seal in imperfections that might be there.
