about my 10 bolt rear?

i have a 10 bolt rear obviusly and i want to get the slp posi for 100bucks and i want to know do all 10bolts have the 28 spline (or how ever u spell it) axels becuz thats what slp says that the axels should be becuz of the posi unit they have , and has anyone had slp put the posi in. please respond

mods to car
new ignition system, edelbrock intake,600 cfm q-jet,th-350 tranny, used black interior, grant stering wheel, accel plugs and wires, hookercat back, b&m shifter, emmission delete package, computer delet package and soon ac delete and in future-- hooker sump comp headers, posi rear, drag slicks and all new rims probably weld rims, line lock, 8 point roll cage, strut tower brace, drag shocks, sfc, new edelbroc 600 carb, nitrous and a weiand supercharger or a 350 or 400 block

Only 89-up (more or less) have the 28 spline axles. If you have a 82 rear, that posi will not work unless you replace the axles.

I don't know about SLP putting in my posi... I've put in every one I've ever had myself... it's a pretty simple, basic kind of thing.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The chance of finding a 90-92 f-body to get the axles is slim. The production figures were low for those years compared to the earlier years. I'm not saying they're not out there just that they're hard to find. Chances are if you do find one in a junk yard, they may ask a lot of money for the parts.

You can buy aftermarket 28 spline axles that will be much better than factory ones for $125 each

They'll fit in all third gen 10 bolt housings that have a 28 spline carrier and will fit drum or disk brakes.
