Moser-ford 9 inch torque arm mounting ?Moser No help
Hello,
I have purchased a Moser Engineering ford 9 inch a while back from A speed shop that has closed up.
My problem is it didnt come with the torque arm mounts or the torque arm.So I figured It would be easy enough to call up Moser and buy them seperatley from them. They offer the option on thier website for around $150 more this shouldn't be an issue I thought, well i thought wrong
.
I called up Moser and they basically told me Im screwed and my only option is to purchase A new rear with the torque arm and the mounts. After I tryed explaining my situation with them the guy got
nasty and hung up the phone on me.
So does any one have any info on mounting/fabricating the torque arm up ? What angles do I set the pinion too?
Or does any one have the torque arm and mounts they would like to sell me
.
Any info will be very appreciated and Thank you in advance.

that sounds a bit rude.
currie makes a torque arm mount kit that you can buy separately.
is the moser housing you bought even the right size for the 3rd gen? does it have the correct brackets for the springs, lca's and panhard?

Currie is the only company that makes a kit to mount a torque arm onto a 9". Moser will not sell a kit separately. As mentioned above, will the diff even fit?
Best suggestion, sell that diff and buy a direct bolt in diff for a third gen.

Yea it is A direct bolt in to a 3rd gen. I already test fitted it in the car,it bolts up perfect and mounted the LCA's springs and panhard.
Just dont have the torque arm...Thanks for the Info on Currie I'm going to go check them out.

i would assume it comes with some kind of instructions.
I would install it so that the torque arm mounting bolts are parallel to the case, unless the instructions tell you otherwise. Any other adjustment is done with the adjustable torque arm that im assuming you already have.
