Alrite so im not sure how to go about this so i figured the quickest answer might be to ask some of you guys on here. Ive got an 84 z28 im redoing that was originally a 700r4 i swapped it to a T5 world class transmission. my question is how do i go about hooking up the speedometer to the trans since the car is a cable driven and the t5 is electronic speedometer? can anybody help me out here thatd be great. thanks again

You need a speedo housing, I have a spare one I can send you for $15 shipped but you will need to get a driven gear for it. They are pretty cheap and available through the dealership. That along with the proper gear combo will work for you. I am unsure if the cable is the same though.

 

I have the opposite problem. I need an electronic speedo sensor. I'd be interested in buying the one you have.

 

alrite i could possibly be interested in that. i have another t5 thats the regular borg warner transmission thats cable driven. can i just interchange them and by any chance can you give me some pointers on the prosegure the hanyes book doesnt really give that much detail. much appreciated

I'll search to find out what years would work in mine. I know there are two different electronic ones. I also have a mechnical one from the car that it was pulled out of.
