my trans went out and im debating on weither rebuilding it my self or lettin a shop do it i wanna save the money but im kinds scared anywayz have any of u guys rebuilt one yourself (700r4) and if so can u give me some info on it like step by step or just some ideas thanks

I can't tell you how many I have done since I lost count a long time ago but my first 700 was in 1982. You will need some special tools and a good shop manual. Although I have never seen them, you might look into one of the videos I've seen advertised so you are familiar with it when you get in there. Just give yourself plenty of time.
