will the turbo 350 transmission fit in my car?

85 firebird v6 switching to chev 350 with turbo 350 tranny will it fit?

as far as i know all gm auto trans will fit, the th350 for sure will fit. you'll need the 9" tail shaft to keep from having to change the drive shaft. by a b&m pn 30299 for about 80 dollars and you won't have any more problems than doing a r&r on the stock trans.

Yes but personally I think you are better with an O/D such as a 700, properly built of course.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Depends what you want it for and what your rear end gearing is.

For the street a 700R4 is fine but it's heavy and has poor gear ratios for racing.

If you have non performance gears in the rear end, 3.45, 3.73, 4.10 etc then a TH350 will do just fine on the street. It did for decades in older cars.
