throttle cable adjustment custom???

i put a new throttle body on and when i finished i re adjusted the cable and it clicked and everything normal.. after driving it im finding the shifts are not as firm as i had them.. and there maybe a tiny tiny slip going into lock up.. and when i hammer down on here she down shifts and then upshifts real quick something dosent feel right.. my question is can i manually play with that adjustment to find my happy zone i once had there.. maybe instead of adjusting it to full throttle.. open the linkage till it clicks out then back off.. any insight would be helpfull

Try adjusting it again with the proper technique. I've tried probably 20 times to adjust it manually and it never works as good as when you do the proper adjustment on it.

You're still TPI right? If you have a SuperRam, you'll need a special bracket designed for the SuperRam. The stock bracket won't work with the SuperRam.

Did you compare the new TB to the old one? If the replacement TB doesn't use a GM linkage the travel (arc) of the TV cable could be wrong. It sounds like the new one has a shorter travel (mounting hole closer to the throttle shaft) and is not extending the TV cable all the way. What brand of TB did you get?

Here are several different links for the cable adjustment, maybe you could play with the mounting bracket, elonggate the mounting holes?
I have several sites, and all pretty much say the same thing, just that each site may have different pics, and diagrams.
