now i have been lurking around here since last summer when i wanted my first 3rd gen but i never got it. finally bought a 82 firebird with a 2.8 v6 with a 4 speed manual for $175. I cant be happier im looking forward to a fun summer swapping a 350 into it. I thought it had the T5 transmission but i could be wrong? please help! i just need to know what tranny i have.

The T5 is a 5-speed, and wasn't available in '82.
You probably have the Saginaw transmission. I know the were also T-10s and Muncies available, but I am not sure which transmission came with the 2.8.
