DAHHHHH!!!!

I own A 92 Camaro RS with the 3.1L V6 with manual 5 speed transmission. I realized the transmission mount needed to be replaced. I went to an after-market supplier, who told me that they do not carry the part and that GM does not make the part anymore, which basically meant I was stuck. I called Hallett Pontiac (Miami, FL) and asked if the part was available, I was told that the part was discontinued and they could not obtain it. A few days after that (Today) I went to Hallett Pontiac (Miami, FL) and asked the parts service man if he had the part or could get the part. He told me he had the part and could get it, but that it would cost Approximately one-hundred and thirty dollars. Knowing that the Automatic transmission mount was about $10 to replace I told him I could not buy it now, but might come back. I then asked for the part number of the mount and was told that he was not allowed to give the number out due to the fact that dealer has policies against giving out part numbers at the risk of losing business. That made me rather mad. What bothers me even more about that statement is that if I were to call another GM dealer and ask for the part they would look it up on the same system (I imagine), which would yield the same part. Why do you have such outrageous policies which just bother, frustrate and confuse customers. Also, I do feel I was getting stiffed for $130. I am a GM guy, my family drives GM cars/trucks, I am very disappointed in the service of your company. ...does someone have the friggin part number??!! please..

Just call NAPA or CarQuest! These parts are readily available. Hell, call Summit Racing 800-230-3030. If they don't have it no one will!

HAHAHA I called Summit, and they assured me that the poly mount they sent would fit..If you only knew how wrong they are..Yes, I went to Napa, Discount and Pep Boys, they don't carry it!! You have to know the 3.1L V6 is a bastard V6 and to add to it I have the Manual tranny. Nice thought though..hmm..I'm still pretty pissed..
