91 Z28 Camaro rear end

Will a 1991 Z28 Camaro rear end with disc brakes fit on a 92 Camaro RS.....Also what is the Z28's gear ratio...I think the 92 Camaro RS is 308...

It will but you have to upgrade the brake system on the RS to work with the disc rear end, or transfer the drums over. Z28's can have 2.73,3.42,3.27 it depends which engine it has and what tranny it had also.

Yup. All you need to get the rear disc brakes working with your current setup is a master cylinder and a proportioning valve from a four wheel disc car to go with it. What about the master cyl. and prop. valve in the car that the rear axle came out of?

I was just wondering why you need the proportioning valve. Doesnt it just change the amount of braking power going to the front and rear. What will happen if you use the one from the drum brakes. Will it cause problems???

My dad put an 89 rear end into his 92 RS, he didnt have to change anything else.

The Z28 rear end could be 3.23 if it was from a 350 automatic, or 3.42 if it was from a 305 5-speed.
