Has anyone here shortened the stock shifter handle? I've seen shorter ones for the T-56 but not for the T-5. I'm not ready to plop down 160 bucks for a new shifter just to get a shorter throw. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and or how you would do it. Thanks.

cut with a hacksaw and get a die (threading tool) and re-thread it. 5/8" I believe or 16mm. I bought a universal shift **** for mine it has 2 pieces 1st piece is a bottom piece put that on first, put the shift **** on (the shift **** takes 3 set screws to hold it in place) then screw the bottom piece to the ****. What i am going to do is measure the furthest distance of the throw and have no gap at all between the **** and boot. I think tha will be the best way to do it.
