Car possessed (in a good way!)

I pulled the engine out, put it back in, and didn't replace the front pump seal when I removed and reinstalled the TC. Don't ask me what I was thinking. Anyway, about 1000 miles later she's leaking pretty bad from the front cover on the tranny (not the lines or dipstick tube). At about 2000 she's leaking about two drops every second. Anyway, just when I'm ready to pull the tranny to replace the seal, I notice that I've stopped losing fluid. I look underneath and nothing is leaking. And before someone makes the obvious smart-@ss comment, no, it's not out of fluid, or even low. Blood clot maybe? The fluid is really clean, as I've added about 10 qts between the engine swap and adding fluid that leaked out. So what's the deal? I'm not complaining, but I really didn't think that cars were in the habit of fixing themselves. Now if only I could teach the rest of my vehicles to do this...

You should count your blessings, but I
don't think it would be a good idea to sell the floor jack and stands quite yet.

Possibly the seal got caught up and 'flipped' causing the leak...

Maybe it straightened itself out?
