Too Late for Shift Kit?

In lurking on these boards, I've decided that the best way to go for my 1990 RS with the 700R4 is the Corvette servo and Trans-Go shift kit (I hope this doesn't turn into an "I hate B&M thread). The only thing that I'm worried about is that the trans has 114,000 miles on it. It has been well maintained, it shifts fine, and everything is solid on it (except the trans mount - new ES one on the way). But is it too late to put in the shift kit and/or vette servo? I've read that those upgrades are great on a relatively newer trans, by providing firmer shifts and hence less slippage, but then I've heard that on a higher mileage 700r4, it could actually cause slippage. I guess what it boils down to is that I would like to do these upgrades, and I want to know if it is feasible (note: the trans operates pretty well now with no signs of slippage.)

If the tranny is shifting good and the fluid looks good, install the shift kit. It's only too late when the tranny shifts terrible and/or the fluid is burnt. Forget the mileage.

Yes, the Performance Shift kit with both boost valves, and Corvette servo should work out fine. If you do not already have the parts, I can supply with all this & some tech info. Let me know?

The covette servo makes upshifts and downshifts more snappy in all gears.

The 'Vette servo is the largest factory Servo and provides more holding power in second at any given pressure. It also makes the 2-3 feel firmer because the Servo releases slower on the shift and you get more bind up. This is not necessarily a good thing. This is also why I don't use the aftermarket 'Super Servo' since it is even larger.
