Odd noise under acceleration
I have a carbed 355 with decent power, a t-56, and a 9-bolt. My crossmember and torque arm (Adjustable and spherical rod end) are spohn. I have an odd noise under really hard acceleration. It's not a whining noise, more of a rrr...rrr...rrr... that gets louder and louder as the car begins to accelerate more. I have no noise under normal (or what regular people call normal) driving conditions. Even on light or moderate acceleration there is nothing. Also when the tires are spinning during a burnout no noise until the car starts to hookup, then continues throughout WOT, shifting, then until I'm off the gas. I'm not too sure but maybe pinion angle? The car is lowered but not slammed, it has adj panhard. Any Help?

Have you always had the noise, or is it something new? The rod-end TA will transmit tons of drivetrain noise to the driver. If I had to guess, I'd say your 9bolt can't handle the 355/T56 and has started some Death Throes.

Yeah I wish i hadn't went with the rod end, didn't really need to, would like to go back and get poly instead. I sure hope the 9bolt isn't failing, when I got it I had a local rodder/mechanic friend go through it and put the 3.73, said it looked pretty good then but...
