NEED CLUTCH HELP
NEED CLUTCH HELP
First of all i'd like to say, i don't know much about clutch assemblies. But my clutch releases way high and seems to be slipping a lot. How hard is it to replace a clutch in my car or how much should it cost to have someone to put it in (and have pressure plate resurfaced). I just need a stock replacement so aoubt $100-150 should do it for a kit, right. Thanx for the help.

i put a new clutch in my 92 and it wasn't all that hard to do.... the hardest part is bleeding the hydraulic clutch when your done
you gotta bleed it like a million times...
remember though that its best to bleed it while the car is running
i dunno if this is legit or not, but it seemed to help mine

To replace a clutch, you've gotta remove the transmission. It's not easy, but if you've got another car to drive (just in case it doesn't go back together all at once) it's a good project to start out with I suppose.
As far as bleeding the clutch with it running...WHOA! LOL I wouldn't do that, you're likely to burn your self (hands/arms/FACE) or inhale some toxic fumes! Just bleed it good, IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE whether the car is running or not
You can get a clutch for that price but it might be wise to spend a little more on a quality set.
