3.73 Swap, Speed Governor Questions

I could not find an answer using the search. I recently went from a 2.73 to a 3.73 gear ratio. It's quite obvious my speedo will be off. So, when my speedo hits the 110mph mark, it hits the governor, but I'm obviously not traveling at 110mph. It's more like 70 or 75mph. I'm really not sure. I know that I have to swap the plastic gears in the tranny to correct the speedo. With that being said, will swapping the plastic gears allow me to go faster than 70 or 75mph without hitting the governor, or is the governor now at 70 or 75mph because of the 3.73 gear ratio? If the latter of the two situations is true, I know I'll have to remove the governor, but is there anything else I have to do in order to correct this situation?

Any suggestions will be greatly appretiated. Thanks

all you need is a 15 tooth drive gear and a 44 tooth driven gear, all the info and part numbers are in one of my stickies. Just getting your speedo gears correct will let you do a true 110 mph.

Sounds great. Thanks a lot. I was hoping that was all I had to do.
