Alright guys, second gear in my trans went out this weekend, time for a rebuild.

The TH350 is sitting behind a 450 HP SBC with a 150 shot of nitrous.

Im in the Metro-Detroit area, any suggestions on where I should take / send it to????

that trans should get a thick center support, wide roller sprag, upgraded third gear drum with a sprag, not a cam style, a heavy shift kit, and good clutches/steels kit. I'd recommend a bolt in center support for that much motor, and build off a bearing style core for the most torque transfer. I build these locally, sorry. p.m. me and i'll send photos of what I would recommend during your build. I run a supercharged chevelle with a th350 for over 9 years with these upgrades, never been touched, and always abused.

 

Thanks for the input. I found a guy local here. His name is Mike Ridings. He got recommended by another good mechanic on another forum. I should be dropping my trans off to him today. Ill let you guys know how it turns out.

Thanks for the extra info Ed. I may print off what you stated and show the guy. We will see, as limited information I know now, their could be very little wrong or a ton of things wrong with the trans so...

But ill update you guys when I get the trans back. Thanks again, really appreciate the advice.

 

Are you still building these turbo 350's. I just had the turbo 350 got out in my 1983 MC ss with a 383 stroker 460HP/460TQ
