Rear end movement?

I backed my sons Iroc out of the driveway today and noticed the rear end moving/ shaking side to side? The cars lowered with no spring issolators? Could this be the problem? I havent been up under it yet. Im guessing maybe trailing arm bushings or panhard bar? ANY guesses!

Doubtful. You don't say how much movement, but if backing out of the drive causes shifting, I'd suggest panhard.

BTW, welcome to TGO.

Re: Rear end movement?

Thanks, Ill check it out! It feels if the rear is shifting from front to back? Almost like it is loose in its mounting? Ive never had this occur on any Fbody Ive owned! Ive been part of third gen.org since aprox 97. I use to advertise 1 my Ram Air Kits that fit the TBI/CARB cars on the forum. www.Westfabrications.com I also reproduce 3rd gen emblems. I forgot my passwords and what email I used originally so I had to re register. Ive been hanging on the Syclone forums most recently.

Re: Rear end movement?

Side to side would be the Panhard Bar bushings, front to back would most likely be the LCA bushings.

Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade to tubular LCAs, if it is just the bushings.
