Car: 1986 Sport Coupé

Engine: 305-4v

Transmission: 700R4 and TransGo2

Torque Converter Spline Question

I need some way of telling how many splines my TH700R4 torque converter has. It is a 1986 model in my 305 Sports Coupe. Unfortunately, I can't crawl around underneath it to pull the inspection cover as I have back problems.

Is it possible to determine from the VIN number?

You wouldn't see it anyways- you have to pull the converter out first! As long as it is the original tranny it will be 30 spline.
