Clinking sound from rear end when turning

Sometimes when I turn it clinks and the car kinda stutters and goes. Is the differential gear eating it or what?

I just had the pinion seal, bearing, and crush sleeve replaced, so I know those are good.

???

The car is a 1992 Formula 350 so it has a posi rear end, stock 10 bolt.

I had told them to do it but I am really not that sure if they did. Is there a way to tell if they did, like the color of the fluid? Or can I just buy some from somewhere?

Do I just dump it in where the inspection cap thing is? what if the fluid is full already?

it sounds like dejavu to me!man, that brings back bad memories.the spider gears in mine had gotten chewed up inside the ring gear and the whole thing had to get replaced.i hope i am wrong, but i would get it checked out again.later

Yup, just put it in through the inspection hole. It ought to be full, but put the additive in anyway and let it displace the fluid already in there. Definitely try this before condemning the entire rearend.
