83 5 speed clutch adjustment
Hey guys, I recently bought a car, and it's not engaging the gears very well.
I will try and adjust the clutch before changing it, I have a shop manual but I think that the instructions are generic and not for the car specifically.
It's a linkage system, no hydralic. What is the best way to adjust this clutch?

On some "traditional" clutches, the linkage should be adjusted (the lower pushrod in your case) so that the throwout bearing has approximately .050" air gap between itself and the pressure plate fingers. Check the spec for your car.
