Auto to 5 speed Swap
Auto to 5 speed Swap
Ok, I've gone over the techpages on 2 sites as to how to do this. I'm getting pretty comfortable in the procedure. My question now is where do I get the template for where to mount the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder? Do I order it, I was thinking about just taking a look at my brother's 87 IROC. But since I have a 91 will they line up? Thanks for any help.

it should line up if you look on the factory padding there is a cutout for the hole for the master cylinder. have fun take your time and be ready for the unexpected. i had my car on the road for 2 weeks and tomorrow it is being towed to the tranny shop because i am having clutch problems
For the slave cyl, you don't have much choice. Just bolt it to the trans.
For the master, best method is to mount the clutch/brake pedal and use that to mark the locations of the two mounting bolts and the master cyl itself.
