12 bolt rear oil capacity

how many quarts of oil does a 12 bolt rear hold? I filled it with two quarts. Is this correct? I was surprised, i thought it would take more to fill. Am i missing something?

Car diffs don't hold a lot of fluid. My 9" only holds 2-1/2.
