700R4 to a TH350 - Speedo disconnected
Hi guys,
I searcehd the board and it looks like this is the first time this has been asked, so...
I had a TH350 put in my T/A when my 700R4 blew. The guy that put it in never connected my speedo because he said it wouldn't work with this tranny. Is this because I had an electric relay, and the TH350 has a manual gear or what? I need to get it to work to pass inspection since they installed the Dyno Test in Mass. inspection bays. If someone out there knows how I could get it to work, the help would be appreciated.

Yep. That's the same problem I'm having with my TH-350. I've broke two speedo gears becouse everytime you go past drive the shifter cable smacks it. I don't know what to do, but I would like to find out.

Get a tail housing off a buick, olds, or pontiac th350 or th250. It uses the same speedometer gears and 2" sleeve as a 700R4 there for all speedo parts electric or mechanical will interchange.
The chevy th350 uses the 3/4" speedo gear sleeve.
