1982 Camaro Manual Trans.
Just a Quick Question for anyone who knows. Are all 4-spd. trans in '82 Muncie's? And if they are, are they as bullet-proof as the 60's and 70's Muncie's? Any Answer is greatly appreicated.
i belive it used a junk saginaw 4-speed, no way a muncie, they were used in the 60's and 70's big block powerhouse engines, GM allways used the parts that will be enought to use under the platform, 82-84 were a absolutle joke for GM and the 3rd gens never got any really heavy duty parts, those are all a thing of the past,..

In '82,'83,'84 GM offered two four speeds. One was the Saganaw, and the other was a T-10. Hope that you got the T-10. You can tell by looking at the case cover, where the shifting arms come out. The T-10 has nine bolts, where the saginaw has 11.

I found a site that might help you out. Go here: http://www.yearone.com/live/Id_info/muncie.htm and take a look. Hope it helps.
