Will T-56 hold up

Will a T-56 hold up to 400 to 500 HP? Please say it will? I hate spending more money.

not as concerned with HP as you are with torque. i think it will hold it though. i have some vid clips on my computer of LT1/LS1 cars running 10's and faster, dumping the clutch at like 4 grand.

Check some of the other topics that have addressed this issue. Chrysler puts a T56 behind the 488 c.i. engine in a Viper. The T56 is sturdy.

I'd say it would. Check the torque though. But I'd say yes. In the car club I'm in http://www.mofba.com we have a bunch of guys running 10-12's and T56's are holding up. Mostly the rears and clutches come part b4 anything else. I know of some of our guys dumping the clutch at 5k rpm's, with slicks and having no problems. Just make sure you research a GOOD clutch first. I'd recommend star (spec power) or a McCleod. Star is the number one choice with most all LT1 and LS1 guys right now though. Good luck!
