Is there a way for me to find out if my speedometer gear has been changed without having to pull the tranny pan? I am wonderin cuz my can has 3.73's and I think it cam originaly with 3.23. . . os if it wasn't chnaged, I am wonderin if the mileage is all correct. . . thanx for the help

 

a) Compare the odometer to the mileage marker signs on a highway. Check it over several miles to be sure.
b) Hold your speed at 60 indicated and time yourself between the mileage marker signs. If accurate, it should be 60 seconds for a mile. If the gears weren't changed, it'll take about 69 seconds.
c) Find one of those radar trailers and compare how fast it says you're going to what your speedometer says.
d) Make friends with a cop and have him clock you.
e) Find a shop that does speedometer calibration and have them check it.
