i am swaping my t5 for the tremec t56 does anyone know if the shifter will work or do i have to do something so it wont hit the console?

the shifter will clear the factory console without a problem.

How about if someone has an automatic console? How well does the shifter line up, or would it be better to swap to a manual 3rd gen console? Is there a good way to make the auto console work?
