difference between stock mount and poly mount??

what is the difference, if people are having so many problems with poly, and still using them, then what are the advantages?

Less deflection with a poly mount. Helps eliminate wheel hop. - Randy

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Energy Suspension (and others) poly mounts won't seperate in the event of breakage; that'll keep your tailshaft from hitting the top of the drive tunnel when you hit the happy pedal.
One drawback is that some of them (ES for sure..) raise the tail end of the tranny up about ½" which can contribute to vibration coming from the front U-joint.
